Research

Tectonics and structure with emphasis on field geology and detailed geologic mapping.

My recent focus has been on determining the total offset and slip history of Neogene faults in the Death Valley region of the Walker Lane belt and Eastern California shear zone with emphasis on trying to understand the evolution and dynamics of the Garlock fault.

This work uses detailed geologic mapping to find geologic features that have been offset and applying geochronology to support these matches and understand the time component of fault evolution.
